The Beauty and Joy of Computing (BJC) is a College Board-endorsed AP Computer Science Principles curriculum developed at UC Berkeley. BJC emphasizes the creative and collaborative aspects of computing, connecting CS to real-world impacts in art, science, and society.

About the Curriculum

BJC is built around the Snap! visual programming language and covers all seven Big Ideas of the AP CS Principles framework. Lessons are inquiry-based, culturally responsive, and designed to engage students of all backgrounds — especially those historically underrepresented in computing.
